Wave Terrain Visualizer

The Wave Terrain Visualizer is an interactive element that sits in the corner of the control room of the radio station inside Meow Wolf Houston.

Via a trackball on the device, guests can switch between various topographies of rooms and elements in the radio station. In each room in the radio station, there is an ambient microphone that sends audio content to be visualized on the screen of the Wave Terrain Visualizer. With this content, guests are encouraged to engage in gameplay with the device.

I was tasked with the design of the shroud for the Wave Terrain Visualizer. In doing so I considered the aesthetic of the device, factors that would effect user experience, fabrication, and maintenance of the interactive.
